Planning a trip to Nashville, TN? Don't miss out on the stunning Percy Warner Park – a hidden gem that offers scenic trails with some of the most stunning wildflowers.

If you are looking for something FREE, fun, and easy to do, try wildflower hunting in Percy Warner Park!
Not only is it a top Nashville park destination in the Spring, but it’s also one of the best places to catch a glimpse of wildflowers. With only a 15-minute drive from downtown Nashville, free parking, and both paved and unpaved trails, it’s one of our go-to parks.
All the flowers in this blog were spotted on the 3-mile White Trail loop. You can access the trailhead at the top of the stairs or take a more moderate route around the sides. The trail offers a beautiful spring experience and is our go-to route when we need to get out of the house and explore.
2025 Wildflowers on the White Trail
First Flower to Bloom: Spring Beauty
You know Spring is right around the corner when you start to spot these beauties! Don't let this photo deceive you. . . Most, if not all of the flowers spotted on this trail are extremely small. The Spring Beauty typically blooms in March / April and thrives in shaded areas, often along woodland trails and in moist, rich soil.

March to May Bloomer: The Violet
March is the perfect time to start your wildflower journey, as everything in this blog is just beginning to bloom! We spotted this beautiful violet about a mile into our hike, just starting to emerge. Missed March? No worries—you can catch these blooms through May!
Fun Fact: Did you know that some violets are edible?!

March to May Bloomer: Periwinkle
My jaw dropped when I spotted this flower—I'd never seen a Periwinkle before! That’s the beauty of Percy Warner Park—you can visit time and time again and always discover something new, especially in March through May when everything is blooming.
If I haven't convinced you yet, head to Percy Warner Park and see for yourself—go on your own wildflower hunt!

Nashville Travel Guide - Coming Soon!
Launching soon, my Nashville travel guide will be available for purchase in just a few weeks! It features all of Brandon’s and my favorite restaurants, parks, and getaways in one place. Shoot me a message for a sneak peek!

Erigenia Bulbosa
This was another unusual find—tiny but fascinating! I’d never seen this type of flower before, but I had to capture it. If you go wildflower hunting, bring your glasses—these beauties are often small and easy to miss!

The Oh So Small: Veronica (Birds Eye)
These are one of my favorites because they are so small. Typically they grow in patches and are so small they can easily be missed. Bees, butterflies, and other pollinators love Veronica flowers because they produce lots of nectar, making them an important part of the ecosystem.
I've always wondered if this plant is called birds eye because it is beyond small. It's smaller than the size of an eraser. This little guy was spotted in the part of my video that I like to call wildflower row.

Bittercress
It's one of the earliest wildflowers to bloom in Spring, often popping up in gardens, roadsides, and woodlands before many other plants wake up. Bittercress gets its name from its slightly bitter, peppery taste and its botanical family, cress (which includes other peppery greens like watercress).

And those were all the wildflowers spotted on our first wildflower hunt of the season. This is the first of many wildflower hunts of the season. I can't wait to see what new flowers pop up in the next few weeks of March 2025.
